My name is Rob McQueen and I am a User Experience and Interaction Design professional based in Los Angeles, California. In late 2011 I decided to leave my native home of Corby, England to live and work in Australia for a year. The plan was to head back home to the UK when my visa expired, but during the last couple of months in Melbourne I met a Michigan-born woman with similar aspirations called Lindsay. Needless to say, we hit it off pretty well and soon figured out that we arrived in Australia on the same day in December 2011, meaning our visas would end on the same day a year later. Lovely! We spent the next 15 months traveling South East Asia, Europe, and North America before heading to New Zealand where we lived and worked in the wine industry for 9 months, before returning to the US to get married in August 2014. So here is where that part of the story ends, and the next chapter begins...
