
A Native App for KB Home
Building an iOS experience for customers & employees
Client: KB Home - one of the nation’s largest homebuilders

The Challenge
Bring KB Home’s first native iOS app to life - a single place for customers to shop, purchase, track their loan process, and follow their home’s build progress.
This meant aligning many moving parts across divisions, navigating legal and App Store requirements, and designing a clear experience for users who had previously relied on phone calls and emails for updates.

What I Did
I led UX and UI design from concept to delivery, created KB Blueprints - a living design system used company-wide - and developed clean, intuitive flows for shopping, loan tracking, and real-time messaging.

Key Outcomes
The app has already earned positive feedback from customers and internal teams, reduced call volume by delivering updates in-app, and inspired plans to expand with new features for studio teams.
Reflection
This project reinforced how effective cross-functional collaboration can overcome even the most complex politics and system constraints. I’m proud of how seamlessly our design and development teams worked together to empower customers.
